“Oh, it’s quite simple. If you are a friend, you speak the password, and the doors will open.” – J.R.R Tolkien, The Lord Of the Rings

S’up internet?!
And welcome, fellow nerdlings to my humble, internet-y abode.
I know what you’re thinking, “how, in the sweet mother of Jiminy Christmas did I get here?”
Well, clearly, it’s because you’re awesome. Simple. Fact.
By clicking into my little corner of the blogosphere you’ve taken the first steps to admitting that, you know what, it’s okay to be a bit different. It’s okay to like what you want to like, and I’m here to bring you what I know you want: a snuggly blankey, a hot cocoa, a warm hug and some seriously scintillating stuff to sink your…you know what, I’m going to stop with the alliteration. Maybe. For now at least.

As you may have guessed, I’m a little on the weird side; quirky, some would say.
But I do believe some introductions are in order, now we’re past the awkward niceties.
The name’s Lisa; nice to make your acquaintance.
I’m a human – totally not a robot (though that would be wicked cool) – girl; in my twenty-sixth year of existence; I was born with a copy of The Hobbit in my hands (totally true story FYI); lover of literature, comic books, manga, anime, video games, table top games etcetera, etcetera…
Basically, I’m a walking stereotype – minus the math ability and the glasses.

I hail from Scotland, where, in spring, it snows one day and the next, people are skipping around shirtless, or “Tapp’s aff” as some Scots (not me) like to say.
We do, indeed, have deep fried Mars Bars though. S’just weird.

I read. A lot. And I write, and read about writing and I write about reading.
My favourite genre would definitely be Fantasy, who wants to live in reality anyway.
Favourite book would be, as previously mentioned, The Hobbit, and I won’t justify that with an author name!
I game, both the video and table top variety.
Favourite video game would be Kingdom hearts: I have a tattoo, it’s a thing. And my favourite table top game; I would have to say Small World. We like to hum the Game of Thrones theme tune as we invade and wipe out each others armies, you should try it some time.

“But Lisa, what’s the blog about?”
I hear you, I hear you. Basically, it’s a place for me to share my love of these weird and wonderful things with anyone who is amazing enough to read it. If you want to read my thoughts on what I’ve currently read; or watched; or played, you should stick around and consider hitting that follow button. I’ll be updating every Monday at the very least and I’m aiming to begin posting chapters of my own literary works once a month.
But truly, my main goal in all of this, is to find like minded people to share in this love with me. Come on, you know you want that cocoa!

Peace out
xoxo

“There are people who are generic. They make generic responses and they expect generic answers. They live inside a box and they think people who don’t fit into their box are weird. But I’ll tell you what, generic people are the weird people. They are like genetically-manipulated plants growing inside a laboratory, like indistinguishable faces, like droids. Like ignorance.” – C. Joybell. C.

Hi thereee! My name is Aya, and I am a fellow book blogger. I was wondering if you’d be interested in participating in a small project that I am doing. I wanted to ask a bunch of bloggers (49, to be exact :p), to give me one of their favorite book quotes. I’m going to compile them all in one post and then post it on my blog on the 22nd of this month. It’d be fantastic if you would be a part of this. Just let me know by this Wednesday please, so that I have plenty of time to compile and/or ask someone else. Thank you!
